MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Stand-up comedian and actor-host Kim Idol has passed away Monday morning after his battle against Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM). He was 41. This was confirmed by his friend and colleague, Allan K.
AVM is a rare medical condition characterized by a tangle of abnormal blood vessels connecting arteries and veins in the brain disrupting oxygen flow.
“You were one of the best talents Klownz and Zirkoh have ever had. One of the funniest on and off stage. You will always be remembered by people whose lives you touched through comedy. Rest in peace, Kim Idol. We will miss you," Allan K wrote.
Kim Idol (real name Michael Argente) worked as a frontliner at the Bureau of Quarantine amid the COVID-19 pandemic. He used to be a host in the noontime show, Eat Bulaga, and was known as Senator Laylay De Lema in the now-defunct variety show, Sunday PinaSaya.
